Rex Whistler: The Plain Wife. Ink & wash drawing. 8 x 6cms (3.25 x 2.5 inches). The image has been cut out and mounted on card. Done for a BP Ethyl press advertisement in 1933. The theme for the series of drawings seems to have been 'The Plain..........'. Accompanied by a half-tone proof of the image showing corrections.
