Edouard Menta: Carnaval de Nice. 106 x 74cms (c.42 x 29 inches). Mounted on linen. Vertical tear from top to bottom which has been restord so that it is not immediately obvious. The poster was first issued in 1898 with that date shown below the word 'Nice'. It was obviously decided to use the same image for a later year, so the date was removed, as in the above example. Probably c. 1900 - 1905.
