Eric Ravilious: Wedgwood ‘Golden Persephone’ design plate. In 1952 Wedgwood issued Ravilious’s Persephone design printed in gold, and in bone china rather than porcelain on the occasion of the Coronation. A few were also issued with the royal coat of arms for the celebratory banquet held by the Home Secretary in June 1953 and were thus never on sale. A scarce piece of Ravilious ceramics.
